Our Perspective

How we see Chateau Glengarry Retirement

One of the best things about this small town retirement community is its combination of cozy intimacy with some of the pampering and amenities people in larger centres expect. Efficiency and diligent compassion are a hallmark of the staff’s attitude, highlighted when you hear how families talk about this community. Staff bring an old-fashioned work ethic to the care they offer seniors. This community may also appeal to people from Kingston and Ottawa wanting excellent care at rates that are more affordable than similar communities in those cities.

Chateau Glengarry combines well-appointed retirement living amenities with the coziness and comfort of a small-town community. The community is neat, tidy and lively. Activities conducted both inside and out are well-attended, including exercise classes inside and social outings held in courtyards or off-site. People enjoy the high quality of the dining served here. Menus meet residents’ dietary needs, and there are dining choices available for every meal.

Care staff here are exceptionally compassionate and caring in their interactions with seniors. There’s deep diligence in the way they treat those in their care. They focus on making sure that seniors here are happy and content, in addition to being well-care for.

Community’s Perspective

How Chateau Glengarry Retirement sees itself

Who are you as a community?

Located in the picturesque Alexandria centered between Ottawa & Montreal, our bilingual staff cater to seniors who are independent, need some assistance with daily living tasks, as well as those who are at the onset of needing memory care. You'll enjoy fresh home-cooked food, relax in the privacy of your suite or join in exercise classes & fun activities while enjoying the company of others. Respite & convalescent stays are welcome. Get pampered & live life to the fullest at Chateau Glengarry!

For more than 35 years, we have built a home to provide quality care and a sense of community for our seniors. Our dedicated, caring, and professional staff provides a continuum of compassionate services in our all-inclusive residence. Our residence is the perfect place to move for independent seniors as well as those requiring assistance. We offer supportive care for active, self-sufficient, and autonomous Independent seniors. This lifestyle removes some of the burdens of remaining in their own home while offering them a comfortable community life with like-minded seniors.  We can also customize a care plan for seniors who require more assistance to support their health and well being.  After completing a comprehensive health assessment with our Director of Care will work with our seniors to design a custom services plan to suit their individual needs.
