The Vineyards Residence Receives A Generous Musical Gift
The sound of generosity and community floats through The Vineyards Residence by way of ivories being tickled. It’s a new piano!
Vineyards Resident, Connie Heimbeckher’s cousin Nancy Heimbeckher and long-time friend Ursula Pidgeon sourced the piano from a local family, fully paid for it, and assisted with moving the piano to The Vineyards Residence. The donation will bring enjoyment to residents, staff and visitors for years to come.
Connie and Ursula, both of whom have degrees in music, find the piano reminiscent of their university days. Classical music and popular favourites are often played. Their shared love of music continues with Ursula volunteering every Wednesday afternoon playing the piano for residents to enjoy.
As shown in the photo above, both accomplished and aspiring in-residence pianists alike are thrilled with the opportunity to play while the ears of toe-tapping audiences are delighted!
