I would give Wild Rose a 10 if I could. I had to go to Edmonton last June to take urgent guardianship of my dad because he had dementia and was on his own. I was there for several months and needed a safe place for my dad while I went back for a couple of months to wrap up some stuff before coming back. Wild Rose was the perfect place. First of all, my dad enjoyed living there and he chose it over other retirement communities. He had his own apartment so he felt like he was still living independently while the staff kept a discreet eye on him. The community is small and the staff know all the residents. When he did need help, they have a full time social worker who contacted AHS to request various services I didn’t even know were available. When he came back from the ER, the 24 hour nursing staff checked on him every couple of hours. The location was perfect because it’s across the street from a Shopper’s Drugstore, Safeway and other amenities. The general manager, Nadine Ternevoy, was wonderful. She has clearly has a lot of experience and a lovely bedside manner. Her door was alway open and even replied to emails while on holiday. The staff really went above and beyond and I felt like my dad was in a safe place. I can’t recommend it highly enough.
When my dad lived at Wild Rose, I felt at ease with so much support from the staff, and having the extra medical support in house was the most settling feeling I have felt as a daughter. It’s a quaint boutique style home. Everyone knows each other. Suites are spacious and quite accessible with tubs and toilets that were updated. Kitchen, staff and food were a good quality. Shout out to Nadine and Wendy, you both were awesome!
My Mother currently living at the Residence. She enjoys it very much.
Wow! Just wow! I can’t say enough about the staff and this place. I stopped by in search of a place for my parents and from the moment I walked in I knew this was the place. Wendy and Nadine were so welcoming and took the time I needed to ask questions and see the place. I toured 4 other places but like I said I knew this was the one.
My parents are now settling in two weeks later and Erin, Jas, Rizza, and the care staff (sorry I can’t remember all the names) are outstanding.
This place is a hidden gem in West Edmonton, if you are in search of a home for yourself or your parents please come check out Wild Rose. You won’t be disappointed.
I found the Wildrose when I was researching places for my mom to move to here in Edmonton. I knew it had to be special cause she had a great support system in Lethbridge but no family! I went for a tour and told my mom we didn’t need to look farther. Since moving in my mom has made great friends! I go to almost all the activities that are available when I’m not working! When I need a place to move into I know I’ve already found it!!!
My mom moved into Wildrose approximately a year ago. It was a stressful time for our family as we transitioned mom to a home that offered a higher level of care. We were shown the room mom is now in, we were given a tour of the building and [we just fell] in love with the place and staff. Mom is so happy here, she loves her room, she always says she's home now.
My mom is resident here and I don't have words to describe how good, nice, and caring the staff are. I am so grateful [she] was accepted into this wonderful home. I highly recommend this home if you want to have peace of mind
The staff is exceedingly kind and patient and it is evident they care about the residents. Whenever I have a question or concern there is always someone who helps me. It is a smaller building which lends to a tight knit environment.
The reason we moved [my mom] here was pretty simple. It is a small home without the usual bells and whistles but we all felt welcome the moment we walked in … The manager listened to my mom instead of talking to me … It felt like the manager cared. [After she moved in] the exceptional treatment continued and they all made my mom welcome and made me feel like I could stop worrying. My mom’s care staff are “caring”. The leisure activities are plenty and fun … We remain very pleased and grateful my mom is at Wildrose.
