From LEV Senior Living, creators of superior retirement communities around the Golden Horseshoe, Winchester Glen brings their expertise and experience in senior care to this North Oshawa neighbourhood. This is the right lifestyle change for seniors in the area. It will also appeal to both history and equestrian buffs with nods to the Windfields Farms legacy.
As you drive up to Livita Centennial Retirement Residence, you’ll be impressed by the neatness and the clean contemporary look of the building. There’s a charming gazebo that serves as an outdoor meeting place, and you’ll also notice the gardens. Inside is a welcoming lobby, replete with a grand piano. It’s immediately spacious and comfortable. If those things make a nice first impression, what really really matters is how residents live well here.
Winchester Glen retirement community is the absolute best place to be. We toured many places for our mother and this place won hands down. The staff are absolutely amazing and treat the residents fantastic. It's a very happy place where everyone has a smile and is happy to be alive. There is always something going on for the residents to be involved in and everyone takes part. My mom is absolutely loving it and finally enjoying life. You can't be lonely anymore with all the positive vibes surrounding you. Great support, great food, great people, and a beautiful clean facility.
New facility, great staff, very helpfull. Rooms are spacious and bright.
Winchester Glen Retirement Community in north Oshawa provided very helpful assistance when we had an urgent need for relocation to an assisted living facility. Emily worked very hard and quickly facilitated our loved one's move into the residence. The very attentive and capable Wellness staff provided much-needed assistance and allowed the transitional healing and health process to start once they were moved in. Winchester Glen's greatest asset is their kind, caring, knowledgeable, and friendly staff. This includes the front desk (concierge), administrative staff, Wellness (nurse and PSWs), custodial services, dining room, and maintenance staff. They provide a healthy environment for residents to thrive and not just survive by ensuring there is an enjoyable and lively atmosphere, supported by numerous activities. We toured the rest and chose the best, Winchester Glen Retirement Community!
My mother-in-law has been a resident for one and a half months and we have not seen her happier. Her suite is the perfect size for her and very comfortable. This is a beautiful new building with top-notch amenities with daily activities for the physical and mental well-being of each and every resident. Sara (sales manager ) made everything with the transition from house to new home so smooth and easy. All the staff ( Jennifer, Sara, Amy, Emily, Pat, and Devon to name a few ) go above and beyond what anyone would expect. They treat my mother-in-law like a family member. Roger and Trevor along with the dining room staff cater to each and every resident as though they were serving their own family. If you are looking for a retirement community for a loved one or yourself, we would highly recommend Winchester Glen. You would not go wrong having your family member move in there.
I moved my 96 year old father and 90 year old mother here from Kingston last March and it was the best thing we could have done. The building is laid out beautifully. Both mom and dad are happy here. The staff are like friends to them. Having nursing staff here makes them feel safe and secure. The food is terrific and the activities here help keep them happy. I highly recommend Winchester Glen.
In 2019, we went around touring retirement homes for my 85 year old mother. As soon as we walked into Livita Centennial we immediately knew we had found the right place. This home has a different feel than all the rest. It's cosy, warm, and like sitting in your own living room. It feels non-institutional. My Mum was there for four years. The wonderful staff are so friendly, and are genuinely caring and very attentive to the residents. They get to know all the residents and their families. During a recent hospitalization, several of the staff even went to visit my Mum. I never worried about my mother while she was there. I always knew she was being taken care of. If you are looking for a retirement home for your loved one, I highly recommend this one. I would give it a 10 if I could. And to all the staff at Livita, a big thank you for all you did for my mother!
We were looking for a retirement home for Mom & Dad. It's a big decision and Joanne provided an informative tour, no pressure and worked very hard to help us find the perfect suite, a comfortable moving date and helped us find a terrific moving company. Once Mom and Dad arrived the staff made them feel very welcome, they worked with us to make sure all their needs were met and helped them get involved in activities . We're very happy we chose Livita Centennial Retirement home.
My mother has viewed a few retirement homes and Centennial is now top of the list! It has all the facilities she requires without being too big. Joanne (the marketing manager) was kind and helpful not just to us but to all the residents we encountered on our tour. This made a very positive impression. My Mom just needs to make the decision now to move from her home!
Wonderful place. Joanne Nichols is amazing Everything just fell into place and there was no pressure! wonderful Staff as well as residents.
I used to live in Livita Centennial Retirement Home and I left. The only reason that I left was to go and live with a friend out of town in their home, where we could share expenses and watch out for each other. Living in Centennial for a year was a wonderful experience. The meals were good. If you did not want what was being offered, you always had alternate choices. Snacks and coffee were always available 24/7. Important to me. The staff was excellent. I cannot believe how genuinely caring they all were, particularly to those who needed it the most. It must have been how employees were selected as it seemed to come natural to them. (Not really something that can be taught.) I kept myself active in the year that I was there, with the many activities that were offered at the home and my walks throughout the community and shopping ventures. If my situation changed, I think I would gladly return to Centennial. Perhaps I may see you there some day.
