Chartwell McConnell Retirement Community is a bilingual seniors building with everything from retirement apartments to assisted living. Tour the building, in a quiet residential area of town, and you’ll find excellence in senior living and care throughout, built with forward thinking seniors in mind. The full continuum of care accommodates couples with varying needs or anticipates future care needs, should those happen. You won’t need to move—but also, you won’t want to.
Symphony Senior Living is ideal for seniors from throughout the Ottawa Region looking for a community that is affordably priced. There's easy access to the community from Highway 174, making visits stress-free for family from anywhere in Ottawa (or even further away). When discussing life here, residents highlight the caring staff.
Enjoyed the open house at McConnell Chartwell. Staff were very informative and all of the residents we spoke with were very eager to share how happy they were living there. We put our names on waiting list and look forward to moving there in the near future.
We recently moved my dad to Chartwell McConnell Retirement home. The staff, nurses, PSW’s and our amazing coordinator, Lois, have made this transition so much easier for my dad and our family. I highly recommend this establishment. My father is very happy as he celebrates his new life and first happy hour amongst his new friends!
I cannot recommend the Chartwell McConnell Retirement Residence highly enough. The buildings are well maintained, and have a resort feel to them. Beautiful park like setting with lots of activities for the residents. Even better than the buildings are the staff. Kind and compassionate they made my Mom and Dad feel at home in their new surroundings. I hope they are still around in 30 years when its my turn because its the type of retirement home I will want for myself!
I've been here almost 2 months now. I know that for me it was the best decision. The staff is always so friendly and helpful. Thank you specially to Michel Bouvrey for always being available to answer my questions. I like all the different activities. The food is also very good. They have a good variety for the meals.
Great place to bring your family members they are treated like family, food and nursing team are amazing!
My grandmother has lived at Symphony for 5+ years now. The residents are amazing... The residents and Bob (maintenance staff) are the real heart of Symphony. Since his arrival, Bob has been working tirelessly... One of the residents (Pierette) volunteers to organize things like bingo and pizza for the independent buildings. Thank goodness for her! The residents consistently check up on each other, to ensure that each other is in good health and spirits. Such a lovely bunch of people. Thank you to everyone who makes Symphony a community!
We were nervous about moving mom to assisted living during covid. Would she be safe? Would she be lonely? We are so pleased with the outcome. Symphonies has gone to great lengths to keep its residents safe while providing great activities to keep them busy and happy. Mom's health is much better now because she eats well, has plenty of exercise and is surrounded by a very kind and helpful staff.
I don't think the administration knows just how wonderful their staff is. You have Rose's, a real gem of a nurse. She goes way beyond being efficient and loving to my mom. I text her photos of moms great-grandchildren and she shows mom the photos. I put my mom in Symphony just after the first lockdown. We had already secured the apartment and some furniture was in place. Then covid hit and we kept her out until July. The administration handle all those frighten families, the contracts and payments put on hold indefinitely. They were strict but fair. A special thank you goes to Jodi Davidson. I doubt anyone could fill those shoes and to Sandra Parent, totally professional! My mom loves it there. I love her being there. As much as I loved taking care of my mom, I will be forever grateful for my freedom.
My father has been with Symphony Senior Living for over 12 years. Initially he was in the Independent Living building and only recently moved to the main building to join their Assisted Living community. It has been a pleasure to deal with all of the staff there to make his stay so comfortable. They are truly hard working and a dedicated team that have managed to keep everyone entertained and safe during these challenging times of Covid-19. I applaud them all for a job well done and look forward to their continued success.
In September 2020, my dad ended up in the hospital for an extended period and was quite weak upon release. Mom could not take care of him so I moved them into assisted living at Symphony Orleans. When making inquiries, staff were very helpful and answered a lot of my emails even late into the evenings. Jodi and Theleah were quite helpful with the transition from Independent to Assisted. The move occurred during Covid therefore the 2-week quarantine was very difficult on my parents. As well, the fact that they were not allowed to leave the building to go on walks, or have visitors, has taken a tole on them. Nonetheless, they have met people and seemed to have made friends. I am very happy to see all the posts by Symphony Orleans staff of the residents and the many activities they share. The medical staff is also excellent as they take care of my parents’ now that I cannot and, during these difficult covid times, they keep me updated on my parents’ health. Great community.
