My grandmother has lived at Symphony for 5+ years now. The residents are amazing...
The residents and Bob (maintenance staff) are the real heart of Symphony. Since his arrival, Bob has been working tirelessly...
One of the residents (Pierette) volunteers to organize things like bingo and pizza for the independent buildings. Thank goodness for her!
The residents consistently check up on each other, to ensure that each other is in good health and spirits. Such a lovely bunch of people.
Thank you to everyone who makes Symphony a community!
We were nervous about moving mom to assisted living during covid. Would she be safe? Would she be lonely? We are so pleased with the outcome. Symphonies has gone to great lengths to keep its residents safe while providing great activities to keep them busy and happy. Mom's health is much better now because she eats well, has plenty of exercise and is surrounded by a very kind and helpful staff.
I don't think the administration knows just how wonderful their staff is. You have Rose's, a real gem of a nurse. She goes way beyond being efficient and loving to my mom. I text her photos of moms great-grandchildren and she shows mom the photos.
I put my mom in Symphony just after the first lockdown. We had already secured the apartment and some furniture was in place. Then covid hit and we kept her out until July. The administration handle all those frighten families, the contracts and payments put on hold indefinitely.
They were strict but fair. A special thank you goes to Jodi Davidson. I doubt anyone could fill those shoes and to Sandra Parent, totally professional!
My mom loves it there. I love her being there. As much as I loved taking care of my mom, I will be forever grateful for my freedom.
My father has been with Symphony Senior Living for over 12 years. Initially he was in the Independent Living building and only recently moved to the main building to join their Assisted Living community. It has been a pleasure to deal with all of the staff there to make his stay so comfortable. They are truly hard working and a dedicated team that have managed to keep everyone entertained and safe during these challenging times of Covid-19. I applaud them all for a job well done and look forward to their continued success.
In September 2020, my dad ended up in the hospital for an extended period and was quite weak upon release. Mom could not take care of him so I moved them into assisted living at Symphony Orleans. When making inquiries, staff were very helpful and answered a lot of my emails even late into the evenings. Jodi and Theleah were quite helpful with the transition from Independent to Assisted. The move occurred during Covid therefore the 2-week quarantine was very difficult on my parents. As well, the fact that they were not allowed to leave the building to go on walks, or have visitors, has taken a tole on them. Nonetheless, they have met people and seemed to have made friends. I am very happy to see all the posts by Symphony Orleans staff of the residents and the many activities they share. The medical staff is also excellent as they take care of my parents’ now that I cannot and, during these difficult covid times, they keep me updated on my parents’ health. Great community.
We cannot say enough good about Symphony, and it’s staff. How can I describe Symphony, FAMILY. Our 97 year old mother, has received the best care, and when things are brought forward too management, they are dealt with immediately. To watch the staff with our mom, gives us such great comfort that she is being treated and taken care of with the utmost respect.
Thanks so much for keeping my mother and all the residents protected from the COVID 19 threat and the staff's continued hard work with positive attitudes.
The management and staff of Symphony Orleans have been incredibly sensitive to the needs of residents and families, particularly during the difficult year we just had. As a family, we will never forget everything you did. Giving us and our loved ones all the support we needed with my father-in-law 's health struggles, and eventually his passing. Your humanity, and understanding, made this trying experience bearable. How you went out of your way to ease our pain, and certainly did more than we could expect from you, can never be acknowledged appropriately. How you also watch over my mother-in-law when we were not able to, and regularly gave us "special" permissions so we could help her ourselves, makes you, and your team, true members of our family from now on.
I am happy dad is at the Symphony Senior Living Orleans. No Covid cases in the home speaks of the high standards from the staff. The protocol used has protected my 94 year old dad. They serve with a smile.
My dad has been at Senior Symphony Living for 2.5 years now and I have to say, it's a wonderful Retirement Home. The staff is awesome, they take care of your family member, are friendly and extremely helpful. They care for the Senior's and treat them with respect. They are great at communicating any questions and concerns to us and are pro-active at helping their clients. It's a wonderful place, safe and friendly.
I recently had my aunt stay at Symphony Orleans for a respite visit. It was a great experience; the staff were very welcoming and helped her feel right at home. Theleah was great to chat with and was always available to answer any questions our family had. When it is time for my aunt to go into retirement Symphony Orleans will be my choice!
About 3 months ago, we moved our mom into the Symphony Senior Living Assisted Care residence. Jodi and Theleah and other staff members were efficient, helpful, and very pleasant to work with. Mom reports to us that “they take good care of me, and the meals are certainly good. People are kind, and they try to keep us entertained as best they can.” She really enjoys the activities Paul organizes, especially exercise class, Bingo, and Sunday Worship Service. There are many other activities offered, which she also takes an interest in. This afternoon, she is “Cooking with the Chef” for the first time... We are very grateful that she is in a safe, clean, friendly, stimulating environment.
Excellent service. Great care during COVID. Very caring staff.
Recently moved my mother in to Symphony apartments from North Bay and I am very pleased with the move to have her closer to us. Theleah has been wonderful to help us with all the arrangements and happy they held the apartment for her from February (move in was April 1st) We thought a move during COVID would be difficult but was not a concern at all. Mom is meeting her neighbors (socially distancing of course) and feels very welcome to her new home.
My mother-in-law, Gisele, moved into the senior apartments in February. She’s slowly getting adjusted to her new residence and is meeting new friends. My Husband and I are very glad she’s now settled in and meeting friends.
I had to write a review as I am so happy and appreciative of the special care and compassion the staff and management of Symphony Senior living Orleans have given to my uncle who is a resident there. Although our world has changed with the threat of Covid they have provided a wonderful environment for the residents with private activities and staff led events. Facetime meetings for families, continued email updates and facebook videos helped to alleviate the pain of not being able to be with and visit family in the residence. It was heartwarming to see the residents enjoying themselves through the innovative and fun events the staff put on. They have been extremely diligent concerning the safety and health for all residents and I am so very grateful to them for the extra safety protocols they have in place.
I can't say enough about your facilities and I tell all of my friends and family how wonderful it is.
It's a big comfort to know that staff will be checking on mom regularly and that she will know that she is safe. You are a huge blessing in her life, my life, and the lives of my family and in many families in our community. Thank you for going above and beyond!>
[I'm] impressed with the professional staff and caring management going above and beyond, to care for each residents' preferences, to the best of their ability. [The community meets] the needs of French and English speaking residents with fun engaging activities.
