My mother-in-law just moved into White Cliffe Terrace in Clarington. We searched for over a year for a suitable retirement home for her and decided this was a perfect fit. The staff has went over and beyond to maker feel at home and comfortable in her new surroundings. It has a beautiful dining room and the food is excellent. The ladies she sits with have made her feel at home. The bistro has snacks and coffee available 24-7. We feel she has made a good choice and highly recommend WhiteCliffe. Thank you to all the staff.

My mom decided she was ready to move into retirement living. After an extensive tour of other facilities in the Oshawa, Clarington area, we all agreed White Cliffe would be best for her. I am happy to report she loves it here. It gives me great peace of mind knowing my mom is comfortable, entertained and fed an excellent selection and variety of meals. They provide a monthly calendar of activities for the residents and my mom is engaged in as many as she can. White Cliffe worked with us to accommodate her specified move in date and she was lucky enough to move in to a newly, fully renovated unit. She has made several new friends, and continues to entertain her family and longtime friends as usual in her lovely new home. I would highly recommend this residence for you or your loved one.

I love it! We have our freedom! We have our nurses, we have our PSW's, we have a Red Seal chef in the kitchen! Everyone has good days and bad days even in their own home, but this is my home.

Interaction with other people has been a great improvement for my mom. Mom's always been a quiet lady but now she's got lots of friends there she looks forward to seeing each day. The staff has treated her very well, and they have truly respected our wishes to come and get her for meetings or activities. Everything's been very positive for us.

It was a difficult decision to move my husband's mother but the folks at White Cliffe bent over backwards to make it easy for us. Now my mother in law enjoys the weekly outings and feels a lot less lonely. It has only been a few weeks and she is still settling in but everyone at White Cliffe is working hard to help her feel settled and we are thrilled she is only 5 minutes away. Christian Ann is so understanding and never made us feel like we were asking too much. The general manager Anne also made herself available at all times even over a long weekend as did Mark which we sincerely appreciated.

Since I live in Australia, it is extremely important for my peace-of-mind that I know my 96-year-old Mom is well-taken-care-of – safe, happy, mentally and physically active and enjoying a good quality-of-life and care. The staff at White Cliffe provide all that and more.
The facility is maintained impeccably, the communication is timely and transparent, the activity calendar has something for everyone, and the staff go out of their way to make every resident and every day feel special.
Mom loves her apartment and calls White Cliffe home. She has been there now for 10 years. I am so grateful that we found White Cliffe.

My mom was a resident at White Cliffe before her passing this year. The quality of life and care that ALL the staff at White Cliffe provided my mom was absolutely second to none. She would constantly talk to us about how friendly and how much everyone from nursing to administrative etc, went out of their way to look after her. They truly treated my mom as if she was family and provided her with all the support that anyone could ever ask for. There are just way to many people to thank from the Independent floors to the assisted living area. Well done everyone and thank you for everything you did for mum.

Our mother in law has lived here 9 years and absolutely loves it here. She just turned 100 yesterday and had a great party . She loves church services, bingo, knitting club, cards , having her hair done weekly, movies etc. All without leaving her home . The staff are all so kind to her and go beyond and above to make every day fabulous. They communicate with us often and will call with any concerns or changes with Marie. We are very thankful for the care she receives here.

My mother moved into White Cliffe six months ago. She has been made welcome, loves her room, and is very happy that she has something to do every day. There are games, entertainment, and lots of activities. The residence is small enough that she can find herself around despite a sight disability, and large enough to provide a good variety of meals, companionship, and a full-service staff.

My Aunt has been at the home since the summer. Every time i am there, staff are always helpful and kind. They are always ready to help my aunt out with things that she is unable to do herself. Thanks for all you do.

My Father visited other residences before deciding on White Cliffe and he was pleased with his choice. He enjoyed his brief time there very much and was very happy with his accommodations. The staff were all very helpful and a few people went way out of their way to make my Father feel welcome. The location is handy to everything and I felt reassured that he would be well looked after. My thanks to everyone there.

My mother has been at White Cliffe Terrace for 5+ years. The staff, the management team, and the residents make this a home for my mother. The nursing staff are truly committed to my mothers needs. We have added services provided by the PSW‘s. All staff are professional and courteous and very respectful at all times. My mother has commented frequently about how lovely the food is and all her meals taste home cooked. The recreation staff take the time to provide wonderful programming and when possible one on one services. We are especially grateful for the FaceTime that is available. The housekeeping staff are extremely accommodating this allowing my mother to sleep later in the morning. My wife myself in fact my entire family are so thankful that we chose White Cliffe Terrace retirement residence.

December 1st we had the Deegan Family Christmas. It was great ! Full turkey dinner for 30 people. The dinner was delicious, staff was very friendly, very helpful. The 2 ladies that served and took care of dinner were excellent! Our mother Jean Deegan enjoyed the afternoon as did the rest of the family.

It's a year today that Dad passed away and I was looking through some old pictures, many of the recent ones from Whitecliffe activities. It reminded me of how much he enjoyed it there and I just wanted to say how much we appreciated all the care and efforts involved from you and the staff in reception, PSW's, nurses and Dining Room and Maintenance.

My father has been at White Cliffe for almost two years and I cannot say enough about it. He is happy, active and I can walk away after a visit and know that he is in good hands. There are many activities for those who want to participate or just observe.
I went to their Italian dinner last night and it was great. Every meal I have had there, and there have been many, have been awesome. Residents have choice and if the choice does not suit their palette at the time they can ask for something else and if the kitchen can accommodate, they do.
The staff is always smiling and knew my father's name the day he moved in as well as mine. I am always greeted with a smile and my dad as well. The staff treat him like royalty. I also believe you get what you give and if you are constantly rude and or complaining well then... However, I cannot see any of the staff that I have met be rude to anyone, and I am there quite a bit. ALL staff are wonderful! As I said, I can leave the building and know that my father is cared for and treated very well. I would highly recommend White Cliffe.

The managers and team here have been very attentive in helping our mother transition from her own home to the home at white cliffe terrace. All staff we have dealt with have been personal and extremely friendly. Their willingness to help to the best of their ability in any way possible has not gone unnoticed by this family. The food is excellent and the activities are fun!

My parents came to live at Whitecliffe 11 years ago following Dad's hospitalization. Dad's mobility issues did not allow him to return home to live and as Whitecliffe is physically accessible, they were able to live together independently in their own apartment until my Dad's death. With the support and caring from the staff, Mom continued to live in their one bedroom apartment independently for several years enjoying the activities and programs offered and company of other residents. With deteriorating physical and mental health, Mom moved to theTerrace (assisted care) in 2006 and has had great care and attention from the wonderful 4th floor staff for many years. As her independence decreases, she receives more support where required and is always encouraged to do as much as she can for herself maintaining her sense of dignity. With encouragement from the staff she continues to maintain her level of activity by attending the programs provided at Whitecliffe. The staff are loving and caring and very aware of my Mom's needs. They provide support for me at difficult times and are available readily. My Mom is safe and well cared for at Whitecliffe giving me peace of mind knowing she is there.

My mother came to White Cliffe Terrace 1 year ago, this was the best move for my mother and we wish that we had made the move earlier. The staff at White Cliffe Terrace is so compassionate and friendly and everyone makes us feel welcome and part of the family no matter what time we visit. I have been to White Cliffe at 6:30am and as late as 9:00pm and am always welcomed and called by name. My mother recently had some health issues and required more nursing care. White Cliffe Terrace was able to help us by moving my mom to their assisted living floor. The attention and care that she receives is amazing! All of the nurses are so helpful and take time out of their busy day to talk to you.Yesterday I asked my mom how she liked living on the assisted living floor and she replied "If I was the Queen I couldn't be treated better." The safety and security of knowing that my mother is happy and well looked after allows me to leave White Cliffe Terrace and know she is in good hands. Having mother looked after allows me to enjoy my life stress free. Thank You White Cliffe Terrace for looking after my mom and for giving me the freedom to live worry free.
