- Games rooms (i.e. cards, table tennis, billiards), tennis courts, etc.
- Libraries, lounges and dining rooms
- Housekeeping and personal laundry
- Party rooms for entertaining guests
One resident of a Richmond Hill retirement country club particularly appreciates the onsite professional golf tutorials: "I have gone from being a pretty lousy golfer to all of a sudden being very, very good. My golf coach really helped me improve my swing and my form. Playing the sport now is just a much happier experience than it used to be. [This] is very typical of retirement home living. Once you move into one of these places, life just gets better. There’s less stress, less to think about, and more time to just enjoy the simple pleasures of life. For me, golf is, indeed, one of these pleasures."
