Tiverton Park Manor offers seniors unparalleled peace and tranquility. It gives Bruce and Huron Counties families the quality, lifestyle, and care we see offered by retirement residences in larger centres. Here, you can enjoy the peace and quiet, in the company of friends, as fellow residents will become for those who move here.
This community began as exclusively long term care, which will still be a key part of the Village. The spectrum of options will include both assisted living and memory care. This will make it ideal for couples with different care needs to remain together in the same community, if one spouse is independent, but the other requires care. It’s also ideal for families and seniors who anticipate shifting care needs in the future. You won’t need to move again.
What can I say - Mom absolutely loves Tiverton Park Manor! When I think back on the events that brought Mom to the Manor and how worried I was that she was not going to be happy living in a retirement home, I can't believe how unfounded my fears were. Mom has loved living there since day one - she loves the staff, her room, the residents, the food, and all the activities. After almost 3 years of living there, Mom still tells me constantly how happy she is. From my vantage point, it is extremely comforting to know that Mom is so well taken care of. I watch the staff interactions with Mom and it is wonderful to see that the staff not only care about my Mom but take the time to engage with her and share stories and laughs. Thank you to all the staff at Tiverton Park Manor for creating such a safe, caring, and happy environment for Mom!
We are so pleased with the care that is provided by Tiverton Park Manor’s capable and caring staff. The facility is well-maintained and attractive and the staff is responsive to family concerns. The home-like atmosphere and health support coupled with the activities and social opportunities make for a perfect combination of living accommodations.
I just wanted to say thank you. My mother has not been this happy in a long time, she loves your place, the food, and all the staff. I think in a roundabout way your place saved her life. Thanks.
We had an amazing time with our mother Lein Schout for her 101 bday a great visit and dinner at the Ruby restaurant.
Beautiful residence. Great staff. Truly a village atmosphere.
The Ruby Restaurant is located on the 10th floor and has an incredible view. We all enjoyed our lunches. Salads are fresh and tasty, fish and chips were excellent and desserts delicious. Our waitress was excellent and the Chef came to introduce himself. I liked the fact that we were able to chat with one another in a relaxed setting and hear one another! Cocktails, wine and beer available, and other non-alcoholic drinks. There is handicapped parking. Everyone was so friendly here.
All staff, nurses, and doctors are the best, and caring.
A very home-like and caring atmosphere.
Nestled in the quaint cottage village of Tiverton, ON, Tiverton Park Manor offers retirement living on your own terms. On a quiet wooded lot with scenic views, our 49-suite retirement home sits on a single level where staff and owner-operator management make every effort to give the feeling of home. Our residents enjoy a vibrant social community filled with activities, excursions & entertainment. Within walking distance are Tiverton’s Walk of Memories and ballparks, the public library, a convenience store, a local pub and a local coffee shop. We offer accommodations for a wide range of care needs, from support with independent living to palliative care.
Our Village is a proud part of a Canadian family tradition of community building that goes back 70 years. The first Schlegel family home became the foundation of what Schlegel Villages is today. Here at The Village at University Gates, we offer several lifestyle options to meet a variety of needs. Our continuum of care allows for residents to age with us in place as their needs change. The residents we serve come from a range of backgrounds that thread together the fabric of our community, and while we know resident-centredness is a term that many lean on these days, we truly do focus on each individual’s wishes to guide our approach to service. Our Signature Programs help us focus on the individuality of each resident we serve. Our LIVING in My Today dementia care philosophy, for example, was developed by our team and our partners alongside people with lived experience. This provides our team the opportunity to learn exactly what it means to support a person who is experiencing the changing perceptions of dementia. We also celebrate the Wisdom of the Elder as another Signature Program, thanks to the inspiration of our founder Ron Schlegel. Ron once said: “The greatest untapped resource in Canada, if not the world, is the collective wisdom of our elders,” and we honour the individual and collective wisdom of those we serve in ways large and small.
