Chartwell Fountains of Mission Retirement Residence ticks all the boxes in creating an excellent residence that gives seniors new life. There’s a caring, spirited community made up of both staff and residents. There’s compassionate care, along with professional and attentive administration staff. The calendar is filled with lots of interesting, pertinent, senior-friendly activities. It’s found in an area with lots of convenient nearby amenities. Both seniors and family members rave about the revitalizing setting.
What a lovely place. The staff are all so kind and full of compassion and knowledge! The nurses go above and beyond and the whole place is clean and sanitary (a priority for my family)! The food is also amazing and I really appreciate all the activities and fun events the staff plan. It really brightens the patient's days and helps the days not blend in to one another. I think it's vital to have something to look forward to and socialization for quality of life and to ward off dementia! Thank you Prince of Peace! You've given me peace of mind and joy!
The staff vigilantly guard against infection from every angle. My mom is quite appreciative of your efforts, as well as all the accommodations you provide for her.
My Mum, who is 97, has lived at Prince of Peace Manor for three years. She has some dementia and she loves living there. She says the food is very good and the staff are professional, kind, helpful and not intrusive. I have found the standard of care to be excellent and staff go the extra mile to ensure that residents are healthy and safe. My Mum and I are happy we found the Prince of Peace Manor.
I love the big windows! There are great views of the mountains and prairies. The walking paths are well maintained which makes it easy to enjoy the duck ponds and green space in the community.
My Mom, Betty Klassen… was able to receive Palliative Care at her home, Prince of Peace, after having a stroke. Our family experienced significant emotional and physical support through the last 5 days that we spent at our Mom's bedside. In those difficult days, we witnessed the deep connection that existed between Mom and her caregivers. They treated her and us with a great deal of respect and care. They anticipated care needs, they showed up during the most difficult days, with such kindness and compassion for us all. Mom died peacefully and gracefully here in her home, surrounded by her children and her Prince of Peace family. The impact that this had upon our family will be with us forever. [It’s a] commendable organization and excellent frontline staff [who] have provided kind and compassionate care throughout the past year. Transitioning into care was stressful for both our mother, who has dementia, and our family. This was compounded by COVID. The staff at all levels from admin, to personal care workers have been kind, patient, and available through many tearful conversations. I [loved] watching Mom share a joke with the staff, their investment in relationship with her [was] evident and welcome. The staff are vigilant and observant - anticipating her needs, and responding to concerns and changes that we note as well. Other things that make it a great home include a varied menu, and nutritious meals and snacks. It is always clean and smelling fresh. There is lots of sunlight...These things combine to create a welcoming atmosphere.
The team at Chartwell is without a doubt, some of the most kind, caring and compassionate folks around! My mom enjoyed her time with them and benefitted from many good folks offering her time and attention. Her suite was spacious and well-appointed, the meals were varied and well-prepared and the activities plentiful. A smaller community of residents than many other retirement locations made this a preferred choice. The opportunity to meet other residents in a smaller close-knit community was ideal.
In a city where we have many choices of seniors' residences, what makes a facility exceptional, is the staff. To that end, the staff at Fountains are exceptional. Kind. Compassionate. Patient. Engaged. Aware. Professional. Accommodating. Friendly. Fun. The list goes on. From day one, my mother-in-law has enjoyed living at Fountains. She often comments how lucky she is to have moved to a place where she has independence, the assistance she needs—and people looking out for her. She sincerely cherishes the staff. Lots of fun banter back and forth! The facility is smaller than many; the residents know each other; and the staff knows each of the residents. Fountains truly is an extension of family.
I moved my mom into the residence at the beginning of this year and already I see so many positives with my mom's movement, the friends she has made, and her happiness. I thank the staff that treat her like an equal and a person. The smile on my mom's face is all I need to know that I have found the perfect place for her.
My mother has thrived since moving to the Fountains of Mission Retirement Residence 8 years ago. She is very active and happy and for that, we are so grateful. Thank you to the staff at Fountains of Mission, all of whom are so friendly and caring towards the residents and their families.
I would like to share the greatness and kindness that the staff of Fountains of Mission has provided for my dad. My father became a widower at 94 and had been living at home still. After the dead of my mother he became lonely and depressed, yet he was not ready to move into a home. Fountains of Mission allowed him to try a short stay at the home which allowed my dad to experience the environment. He approved but was still reluctant to do the permanent move. He realized he could not be at home by himself and decided to move into the home. He has been there for 4 months now and has become a healthier man again. He is no longer depressed and is happy with the help and guidance he gets from the staff . He is happy with the food that is served. He has a social environment that he enjoys and the surrounding area is beautiful. He is happy he made the move he says.
