Yeehaw!  Evanston Summit celebrates the Stampede

Evanston Summit residents Emilian and Jeanette’s smiles are indicative of the great time had by all at the residence’s Stampede Party.

The spirt of the famous Calgary Stampede filled the courtyard at Evanston Summit as the residents celebrated their annual Stampede Party in early July. The musical talents of Silence In B’tween led to resident and guests dancing, swaying, and singing along to their favourites. 

The evening began with a special barbecue dinner in the Dining Room followed by the festivities in the courtyard - entertainment and adult beverages. Residents really got into the character of the evening dressed in their western best and laughing as they took turns inserting their faces into character displays of a “Wanted” poster, a saloon dancer and old-time piano player.

Every seat was taken as Silence In B’tween serenaded the lucky audience. The setting could not have been more perfect with the courtyard and beautiful gardens looking their very best thanks to volunteer residents and their families.
