"I want to know their story", says Sandy.
When Sandy Leia started looking for a new position, she hoped to find one that would not only utilize her education and experience in business, marketing and sales, but also provide a career path that reflected her Christian faith. Active in adult faith at her Catholic church, she was looking for a job that provided a commitment to community and mission.
As the recently hired Sales and Leasing Coordinator at Evanston Summit, Sandy says she has found that rewarding combination.
“I was hoping to take my work experience and combine that with some of the intangibles, like a heart for service, and with my Catholic identity, which is intrinsic to me” says Sandy. “In this new role, I thoroughly enjoy meeting people and accompanying them into the security of a new home and community.”
Sandy is a front-line ambassador to living at Evanston Summit. She meets all prospective residents and, often, their families, too. The first thing she likes to ask is what has brought them to Evanston Summit and why they’re at a crossroads where they want to make a move.
“I like getting to know a potential resident and their family, I want to know their story”, says Sandy “and respect that it sometimes can take time for people to feel comfortable with such a big change in their life”.
