What do you do differently or uniquely well?

Unlike many other retirement homes, our home is part of a larger community that offers beautiful landscaping, over 100+ activities & amenities onsite, nutritional chef cooked meals, and offer superior quality nursing services.

What supports do you offer residents as they adjust to life there?

Our team will develop a care plan which is based on the individuals care needs prior to coming into the home to ensure a safe and welcoming environment upon arrival. As well, our Welcoming Committee will come to greet our new residents to help them tour our home, discover what activities that may interest them, and help to make social connections with our other residents.

How are residents supported if their needs change?

Our clinical manager conducts semi-annual and annual care assessments, which help to develop a care plan based on the resident's needs. However, these assessments may be conducted more frequently and as needed, depending on changes that are observed by our 24/7 on site Personal Support Worker and Nursing team. Our home also works closely with outside care service providers to provide a resident-centered care approach.

Under what conditions would you advise someone against choosing your community?

Our Clinical Manager sits down with each potential resident to determine what care needs they require. Our main priority for all of our residents is their safety, and at times a resident's care needs exceed the limits of what our staff and home can safely provide.

What might residents find surprising about your community?

Our village sits on 114 acres which consists of beautiful garden homes, ponds, wildlife, and multiple amenities.

How will your community change in the next five years?

Our retirement home is actively conducting renovations and additions to our home to provide a new and fresh look to St. Elizabeth Retirement Residence.

What five facts about your community should people know?

1. Our village sits on 114 acres of beautiful scenery with 14 ponds.
2. Our village consists of over 100+ amenities and activities, including a pool, sauna, and gym.
3. Our village has many community events throughout the year, including the annual Fall Fest, Halloween, and Christmas light shows.
