Hygate Active Senior Living brings a welcome new twist to senior living in Kitchener-Waterloo, with a focus on resort-style living right in the heart of KW. Here, you’ll find a wealth of daily activities and amenities right outside your door, including fitness classes, a bistro, chef-prepared meals, an in-house movie theatre, and more. Some are going to call this a cruise ship on land.

We love that this state-of-the-art luxury-style senior apartment living is in KW. We’ve seen many similar, newer communities in major centres like Toronto and Vancouver. Waterloo was ready for this. Hygate is located in an excellent area of the city, just blocks away from the region’s two world-class universities, as well as Conestoga Mall. Of course, you’re also close to St. Jacobs and Elora, and an hour out of the GTA. At this point, the staff here is established and expert at making this a home.

It's an ideal destination for older singles or couples who want to cash in the equity of their family home and live a lifestyle ideally suited to someone their age. Lifestyle communities somewhat like it can be found in the countryside outside of town, but this is ideal for seniors who want to be near the heart of the action. Suites are ideally sized for seniors, with some as large as two bedrooms.
