Our Perspective

How we see The Wellington

The Wellington offers a unique combination of affordability and luxury amenities in an established area of Hamilton. We love its holistic approach to senior living, from its pet-friendly policy to the staff, who bring a tell-tale enthusiasm to their work. The combination of independent living with long term care makes it ideal for couples with varying needs to stay together in one community.

The interior of The Wellington is strikingly beautiful. The brightly lit, welcoming portico immediately feels like a place where you want to spend time. The lobby has a mezzanine, which houses the library, and a tea room, compactly situated in the corner beside the welcome desk. Further inside, features include a games room, a hairdressing station, and more. The gazebo and gardens outside are accessible greenspaces ideal for friendly gatherings.

What makes or breaks any retirement home, though, is the people and the community they create together. As an established community, the staff and administration are experienced in building a quick rapport with newcomers. We’re struck by the obvious care that staff have for each resident and for each other. People working here bring a palpable enthusiasm to their work. They’re visibly supportive of those in their care.
