Shepherd Terrace is ideal for senior Scarborough (and area) Christians who want to have everything at hand in a loving community. The village-style atmosphere here creates a safe oasis for seniors, where they truly have everything they need or can imagine all in one place. There's a wellness clinic, the swimming pool, a pharmacy, a hair salon, and so much more. With care on hand and conveniences both inside and just outside Shepherd Village, you truly have everything you need here.
Shepherd Terrace’s Christian basis is manifest in its emphasis on excellence in senior living and caring support of residents. There’s a vision at work here, one we’ve seen put into mindful practice over many years of working with this community. Seniors love to call this home.
One other noteworthy aspect of the community is the variety of living choices available, including life lease, respite and short stays, and a long-term care facility. Shepherd Terrace focuses on independent and assisted living, but all those other community options are nearby, too, creating a diverse community of people all your own age. It’s conveniently close to the 401, with other nearby shops including the Agincourt Mall, as well as a good selection of churches: Presbyterian, Anglican, Catholic and others.

My Mom lived here for over 30 years. She loved it. I was so grateful for the care she had there. She made lots of friends with staff and residents. Grateful for all the support.
The cafe is great. The daily specials are delicious and the burgers they serve are the best anywhere. They even have Starbucks!
A caring community [with] easy access to main roads. It's a village within a community [including] access to doctors, nurses, dentists, social workers, a pharmacy, a store, cafes.... everything a person would ever need all in one place.
An actual happy retirement home ... I personally know a bunch of [residents, and] they love the place. My grandmother calls it her all-inclusive resort. There are daily planned activities and the meals are decent quality. Most importantly, it's a friendly place - residents and employees.
