Aging Without Boundaries: 30 Years of Celebrating
How many seniors do you know? Are you a senior yourself? Or your parents? What about your neighbour? Well it’s time to celebrate because this month is dedicated to them. This month, June 2014, marks the 30th annual seniors’ month in Ontario. And the theme is something great: “Aging without Boundaries: 30 Years of Celebrating.”
Aging without boundaries is the perfect way to describe seniors, especially now in 2014 where everything is possible. Aging without boundaries is a simple way to see that seniors are just as active as they were 10, 20, even 30 years ago.
So what are the reasons it’s great to be a senior? Well, a couple years ago Comfort Life uploaded a video that had the top 10 reasons it’s great to be a senior and we still think they apply.
Seniors said that it’s great to be a senior because…
- We have more time to appreciate life more now than ever.
- I don’t have to make any decisions; I’ve made them already.
- I get to sleep in.
- We know what it takes to put life into living.
While each senior gets older, it doesn’t mean they’ll be stopping what they want to do. Here’s to the seniors that see age as just a number. Here’s to the seniors who live life like they’re 25. And here’s to the seniors who realize there are not boundaries that come with age!
